Mission Statement
The Wellness Village Project is dedicated to empowering Muslim mothers through holistic wellness. Our tools and resources enhance their spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health. Our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive community that enables mothers to thrive in their roles and achieve balance and fulfillment.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to create a world where Muslim mothers feel empowered to prioritize their holistic wellness, guided by the "Light upon Light" principle in Surah Nur verse 35. We envision a community where Muslim mothers can access the resources and support they need to nourish themselves

Founder
& CVO
Meet Beenish Urooj, the founder and CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) of “The Wellness Village Project.” Beenish is a woman of many talents with a diverse background in social services, community development, and activism. Beenish has completed a Master’s in English Literature and holds facilitation certifications.
She is a Social Service worker by profession, which has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to impact society positively and fueled her passion for serving humanity.
Beenish’s experience includes the following:
- Volunteering in women’s shelters.
- Internship at a facilitation institute.
- Serving as an international student ambassador for global citizenship.
Most importantly, she is also a student of the Quran, which has deepened her understanding of spirituality and faith-based practices.
As a mother herself, Beenish understands the importance of supporting mothers in all aspects of their lives, from physical and mental health to emotional well-being and personal growth. Her journey sets Beenish apart, having faced challenges as a mother herself.
Her determination to overcome these challenges led her to create “The Wellness Village Project,” a community-based initiative to support Muslim mothers in all aspects of their lives.
Beenish’s experience in international community projects has enabled her to build a culturally sensitive and inclusive program, ensuring that all mothers feel welcome and supported.
Beenish is widely recognized for her incredible coaching skills, helping her clients to connect with their vulnerability and use it as a strength. Her understanding of cultural context makes her approach to “The Wellness Village Project” even more valuable, ensuring that the program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual and community.
